Meridiano Cero Club
History of the Club
The island of the “Zero Meridian” was historically El Hierro until 1890 before the discovery of the Greenwich Meridian.
MERIDIANO CERO was the island’s first diving center, created by a fisherman. From now on, it is a multi-language speaking diving centre affiliated with the CMAS run by Céline and Claude, a Franco-Belgian couple, to the great happiness of the Herreños, who, because of their friendliness and good humor, are happy to warmly welcome different nationalities and help them discover the wonders of their island.
At MERIDIANO CERO, we speak FRENCH, ENGLISH and SPANISH of course!

Underwater videography is a hobby that comes quite naturally to him with the idea of showing the different underwater species and their way of life (under the name of UniverCel). Jesús Maria Escalera Galdón
JESUS is a Spanish PADI instructor originally from Andalusia but above all the captain of the zodiac MERIDIANO! He put his suitcases down at La Restinga with his partner a few years ago after having tested Spain, La Paz in Mexico or the FIJI islands. It was finally in El Hierro that he found his happiness: beautiful dives and exceptional quality of life. He wouldn’t change for the world! His knowledge of the sea and the sites of the island make him an exceptional asset … not to mention his legendary Andalusian chat.
